HOUSING, ENGLAND AND WALES

The Housing and Planning Act 1986 (Commencement No. 17 and Transitional Provisions) Order 1992

Made 11th July 1992

    The Secretary of State in exercise of the powers conferred on him by section 57(2) of the Housing and Planning Act 1986[1] and of all other powers enabling him in that behalf, hereby makes the following Order:
    Citation and interpretation
        1.—(1)  This Order may be cited as the Housing and Planning Act 1986 (Commence ment No. 17 and Transitional Provisions) Order 1992.

        (2)  In this Order "the 1986 Act " means the Housing and Planning Act 1986.
    Commencement
        2.—(1)  Section 5 of the 1986 Act (loans in respect of service charges) shall come into force on 13th July 1992.

        (2)  In so far as it is not already in force, and subject to the transitional provisions in the Schedule to this Order, section 24(2) of the 1986 Act (consequential amendments) shall come into force on 17th August 1992 in so far as it relates to—
      paragraphs 18 to 20,

      paragraph 27 in so far as it relates to the definitions of "consent " and "management agreement and manager ",

      paragraphs 29, 31, 34 to 38, and 40 of Schedule 5.
